WordPress

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

This weblog has now been migrated to WordPress.

While doing that, I also renamed it: previously known as Erik Isaksson Weblog, the blog is now officially entitled interface cobalt. A bit more fun, don’t you think?

Renewed Website

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

If you are reading this, it means that you are now accessing my freshly installed blog on my completely renewed website. Great!

The main reason for this update is that I moved to a VPS host a while ago, and I’ve recently been working on getting everything set up properly. Of course, some renewal now and then is good in its own right.

This setup involves Apache HTTP server, Subversion, BEA JRockit and Apache Tomcat, all tied together through a bit of XSLT and Python (hooked up in SVN to run on each commit—a little automation sure makes life easier), running on Ubuntu 6.06 LTS.

Website Update

Friday, August 27th, 2004

This website is now pretty much exactly what I had in mind when I started building it. All of the pages and their contents are there. The website is quite accessible from mobile devices (there are XHTML-MP and WML start pages, and the rest of the site should work pretty well, too).

I’ve also created more helpful and better looking error pages and, of course, upgraded the software that I’m using on the site. The weblog software, Pebble, is getting better all the time, and the 1.5 version is no exception.

My host, by the way, is awesome. The server that my account is hosted on is rock stable. I’ve never noticed the server being down. And the customer service is good. They seem to know their stuff, and they’re friendly. I very much recommend them.
